Fall Exhibitions Open with Curatorial Walk-throughs

Galleries open at 11 am for two exhibitions:

Pivotal: Highlights from the Collection showcases approximately 100 artworks from OCMA's collection that were created over the past six decades. OCMA has always championed artistic experimentation and innovation through a commitment to exhibit and collect the work of the region's groundbreaking artists, often at pivotal moments in their careers. This installation reflects the significant impact these key works have had on the artists' careers as well as on the museum's own history.

Shi Zhiying is the first solo museum exhibition in the United States for Shanghai-based Shi Zhiying, known for her large-scale, monochromatic paintings of ancient Buddhas, the sea, Zen gardens, and rock formations in her poetic style.

At 2 pm, join OCMA Director & CEO Todd Smith for a tour of Shi Zhiying. Immediately following, Senior Curator Cassandra Coblentz will give a tour of Pivotal: Highlights from the Collection.
