15 Minutes of Fame: Portraits from Ansel Adams to Andy Warhol

Exhibition May 2 - September 19, 2010

15 Minutes of Fame: Portraits from Ansel Adams to Andy Warhol showcased more than 175 works primarily from the museum’s significant collection of photography, including many that have never before been exhibited. The exhibition explored a diverse range of photographic portraits from early modernism, to photographs of celebrities from the 1930s to 1960s, photojournalistic street photography from the 1960s, and contemporary portraiture.

Photo Op!

Installed within the exhibition space was Photo Op, a participatory installation where visitors were invited to take and post photos of themselves on a gallery wall to become part of the exhibition. Photographs were then posted on the museum's Facebook fan page.
